Explicación técnica

Oscillators are created with the Web Audio API and connected to a stereo panner or channel splitter. A left test only feeds the left channel, so reversed wiring or a mono adapter becomes obvious.

Tones are digital signals produced by the browser. The tool cannot measure sound pressure level, frequency response, or distortion; those require calibrated audio equipment.

Solución de problemas

Sound only on one side

Check the headphone plug, adapters, and balance settings in the operating system. A mono adapter or faulty cable commonly causes this.

No sound at all

Confirm the correct output device is selected, the tab is not muted, and the volume is above zero.

Crackling or distortion

Lower the volume. Distortion at high levels may come from the headphones, the source, or the browser volume chain.

Bluetooth delay

Bluetooth headphones add latency. The delay test gives a rough indication but is not a wired-latency measurement.
