Last updated: 1 March 2026. By using Device Check you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
1. The service
Device Check provides free browser-based tests and educational information about device and browser capabilities. The service is provided for general informational and troubleshooting purposes. It is not a certified diagnostic or repair service.
2. No warranty
The site is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or uninterrupted availability. Browser APIs, hardware support and measurement accuracy vary by device and may change without notice.
3. Not professional advice
Results are estimates or observations made by your browser. They are not a substitute for professional hardware testing, medical advice, safety certification, or network engineering. Do not rely on a browser test for a safety-critical or commercial decision.
4. Acceptable use
- Do not attempt to disrupt, overload, probe or gain unauthorised access to the site or its infrastructure.
- Do not use the site to violate privacy, intellectual property or other applicable laws.
- Do not automate abusive volumes of requests or submit malicious content through forms.
- Do not present the site’s measurements as official certifications or benchmark records.
5. CPU and GPU stress tests
Stress tests intentionally create load. They can increase heat, fan noise, power consumption and battery drain. Use them at your own risk, keep devices ventilated, and stop immediately if a device becomes uncomfortable or unstable. You are responsible for the condition of your equipment.
6. Audio tests
Test tones and sweeps can be loud. Start at a low volume and increase gradually. Do not use the tests at a volume that is uncomfortable, and do not place headphones on your ears before lowering the volume.
7. Third-party links and services
The site may link to or embed third-party services such as maps. We do not control those services and are not responsible for their content, availability or data practices. Your use of a third-party service is governed by its own terms.
8. Intellectual property
The Device Check name, interface, copy and original code are protected by applicable law. You may not copy or redistribute the site as your own product without permission. Browser API documentation concepts remain the property of their respective owners.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Device Check and its contributors are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, loss of data, device damage, or loss arising from use of the site or reliance on its results.
10. Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. The date at the top indicates the latest revision.
