- Click Check microphone permission.
- Allow or deny access in the browser prompt.
- If allowed, speak and confirm that the level indicator moves.
- Click Stop microphone to end the stream.

Technische uitleg
getUserMedia({audio:true}) requests a microphone track. A successful request is connected to an analyser so the page can show that the track is delivering non-silent samples.
Permission and device availability are separate. A granted permission can still fail if no compatible input device is present or if the device is in use exclusively.
Problemen oplossen
Permission denied
Open the browser site settings and allow microphone access, then reload.
Level stays flat
Check the input device and system mute settings. Some headsets have a hardware mute switch.
Wrong microphone
Select the correct input in the browser or operating-system sound settings.
Secure context error
Microphone access is usually restricted to HTTPS or localhost.
