Request your location with an explicit action, inspect accuracy and altitude, and copy coordinates without storing them.

Your browser may ask for permission after you press Start.Accuracy is an estimate reported by the device. A smaller number is better; indoor readings are often much less accurate.

Technical explanation
The Geolocation API uses GPS, Wi-Fi, cellular, or IP-derived positioning depending on the device and operating system. accuracy is a radius in metres reported by the provider, not a guarantee of correctness.
Indoor readings can be poor. Altitude is only available when the provider supplies it and may be unreliable. The browser may return a cached position; the time-to-first-fix shown here is the page’s request time, not a hardware warm-start measurement.
Troubleshooting
Location permission is denied
Reset the location permission for this site in the browser settings and try again.
Position is inaccurate
Move outdoors, wait for more satellites, and avoid using a VPN for network-based positioning.
No position is returned
Some desktops lack location providers. Check operating-system location services.
Requests time out
Try again in an area with better signal and keep the page in the foreground.
