Technical explanation
The checker looks for the Generic Sensor API constructors and DeviceOrientation/DeviceMotion events. Presence of a constructor does not guarantee that hardware is fitted or that permission will be granted.
Environmental sensors such as ambient light or pressure are rarely exposed to web pages. Unsupported status is a browser capability result, not a hardware diagnosis.
Troubleshooting
Everything is unsupported
Use a mobile device and a current browser over HTTPS.
Permission is pending
Grant motion access from the browser prompt or site settings.
Sensor list differs from device specifications
Browsers expose only a subset of hardware sensors for privacy and compatibility reasons.
A sensor stops reporting
Background tabs and power saving can pause sensors. Keep the page visible.
