Ping Test

Measure round-trip latency to this website with repeated small requests and see minimum, average, maximum, and jitter.

Privacy: The test sends small requests to this site only. No personal data is included, and results stay in the page.

This is an HTTP round-trip measurement, not an ICMP ping. It includes connection reuse, server processing and the return trip, so values can differ from game or terminal ping.

How to use this tool

  1. Close other downloads and streaming tabs for a cleaner sample.
  2. Choose the number of samples and click Start ping test.
  3. Watch each round-trip value appear and review the summary when the run finishes.
  4. Repeat at a different time or on another network to compare.

Technical explanation

Each sample is a fetch request to a tiny same-origin endpoint with cache disabled. The page measures performance.now() from request start to response completion. That includes DNS, TCP/TLS reuse, server processing, and the return trip, so it is an application-level round-trip time, not an ICMP ping.

Jitter is the average absolute difference between consecutive samples. Results depend on your connection, Wi-Fi, server load, and the browser. A single run is a snapshot, not a guarantee of network quality.

Troubleshooting

All samples fail

Check your connection and reload the page. A proxy, firewall, or offline state can block the test endpoint.

Latency is much higher than in a game

Application requests include HTTP and server processing. Game latency also depends on the game server and route.

Results are unstable

Wi-Fi interference, background traffic, and bufferbloat cause variation. Test with a wired connection or at a quieter time.

The first sample is slower

Connection setup and TLS handshake can add time to the first request. Later samples usually settle down.
